AIG Indonesia names Robert Logie as President Director and Chief Executive Officer

Jakarta, 3 August 2017 – PT AIG Insurance Indonesia (AIG Indonesia) has named Robert (Rob) Logie as its President Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Rob replaces Jon-Paul Jones in this new role.

Rob brings with him over 18 years of extensive C-suite experience in general insurance across the Asia Pacific region with Insurance Australia Group (IAG). He has lived and worked in Indonesia for over four years.  In his most recent role from June 2015 to May 2017, Rob was the President Director and Chief Executive Officer of PT Asuransi Parolamas in Indonesia. Before that, he spearheaded IAG’s acquisition of Parolamas and its conventional and Sharia general insurance licences. Between November 2008 and December 2012, Rob was the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of SBI General Insurance Pty Limited in India, where he led the set-up of the company’s greenfield general insurance joint venture.

Prior to these appointments, Rob held a broad range of senior roles across a diverse range of business functions. He has a strong track record in penetrating Asian markets, and navigating through challenging environments to deliver results.

Claudia Salem, CEO of AIG Singapore and Head of Country Operations (Southeast Asia), said, “I am very pleased that Rob has joined the AIG Indonesia team. With his in-depth understanding of the Asia markets, particularly the Indonesia general insurance market, I am confident that Rob is well positioned to ensure the company and our team’s continued success and growth in Indonesia.”

Rob commented, “I am excited to carry the torch for AIG in Indonesia, and build on the tremendous history of AIG here. We have an excellent team, and I look forward to supporting them in every way to provide the best service to our partners and clients.”
